Flowering Hedging Plants Page 2 of 2
We have a lovely, wide range of flowering hedging plant species with flowering from early in Spring (eg Cherry Plum and Blackthorn), through the spectacular Hawthorn flowering season which paints the whole of Britain in a soft white perfumed haze in May, whether you’re driving on a motorway or walking on a country lane, and then on into late June (eg Elder) and of course catkins provide nectar too (eg Hazel).
In fact, most plants have flowers and then when pollinated, those flowers turn into berries, but a lot of species have inconspicuous little flowers that are attractive to bees and other insects but not what we would classify as being a flowering plant, so we have only listed in this section those species that have attractive flowers or catkins. If you want a full list of species that are good for wildlife, we have a separate section where you’ll find a fuller range.
We have a choice of root types in many of the species shown below. Bare roots are available in the winter dormant season from November to April (you can pre order from late summer), and we have a wide range of cell grown and pot grown flowering species.
Our website automatically discounts on larger orders, but if your order is coming to over £1000 please do contact us for a bespoke quote.
