Edible Forager Hedging

Traditionally hedgerows were used by foragers to find free food. Growing edible plants can also add interest to a hedge which would otherwise be grown purely for the function of blocking a view, defining a boundary or keeping out intruders. As well as traditional edible plants such as raspberry bushes and apple trees, there are a variety of hedging plants which produce flowers and berries either suitable for eating raw or flavouring delicious jellies, tarts and drinks.
