One of our most popular species for formal hedging at 1m to 5m height
Evergreen
Wildlife-friendly flowers and fruits, and a good dense evergreen wildlife habitat
Mid-sized dark green leaves on dark red stems
Native to Portugal, Spain, Western France, Morocco, Madeira and Canary Islands
Good wind tolerance and good in all situations other than at the coast
We have a wide range of options in Portuguese Laurel - pot grown, root balled (many sizes available) and 1m long troughs of instant hedging.&amp;nbsp; Please contact us if we are not showing the size you want - we often have additional options on the nursery.
Root ball plants can be pre-ordered from July until October and are supplied when dormant throughout the winter months, from October until April/early May.

 If you are claiming a farm grant, you need to use 45/60cm 2 year old bare root plants, planted at 6 per metre (grant rules)
All the smaller bare root plants on this page are grown in Britain and some of the taller ones are from Holland (where they specialise in great quality tall Beech bare roots
