As we supply millions of plants every year, we understand how important it is that they arrive fresh and intact. Each of our plants are carefully lifted to order at our nursery in Herefordshire and shipped to you as soon as possible.

In fact, over 98% of our plants are picked and dispatched on the same day, and unlike some nurseries, they don’t spend weeks sat in transportation.

We’re confident that you’ll receive our plants in prime condition, which is why we provide a 12 month guarantee on each and every order.

Top Tip: If you supply your email address when making your order, you’ll receive specialist information such as planting guidelines, to ensure that you get the best out of your plants.     • Bare roots are dormant plants and have a limited availability period between November and April. This is when the plants can be lifted out the ground in a way that does not cause any damage to the plants.
    • Orders placed after midday Monday – Friday will be delivered within two working days.
    • Orders placed after midday on Friday will be dispatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.
    • Some orders being delivered to more remote areas of UK Mainland may be in transit for two days. This will be specified at the checkout stages when applicable.

 

 

Delivery FAQs

What can I expect from my order?

Bare root plants will arrive packaged in a secure, reinforced cardboard box with the actual roots wrapped in a protective coextruded sack. This prevents the roots from drying out while in transit, helps to maintain a steady temperature and keeps the box free from moisture. It also means that you won’t need to get the trowel out straight away. Inside the protective sack, bare roots will remain fresh for up to a week after delivery – sometimes even longer depending on the weather and how they’re stored. Can I arrange for plants to be delivered to an alternative address?

Yes, we are able to accept different delivery addresses at the checkout. All you need to do is choose a billing address and a separate delivery address. We do ask that you make sure the delivery address is accessible and is able to receive the delivery between the hours of 8am and 9pm Monday - Friday and between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays.

What if I’m not at home when my delivery arrives?

If you know that you’re going to be away on the date that your delivery is set to arrive, you can add delivery instructions during the checkout process.

e.g. place my delivery in the porch, leave my delivery at No. 34

Will I need to sign for my delivery?

If you are available to receive your order, the courier may ask for a signature. If you are unavailable to receive your order the courier will leave your order in a safe place, leave your order with a neighbour or attempt re-delivery on a different day.

Can I order for delivery from outside of the UK mainland?

We do our utmost to ensure our customers receive their plants in perfect condition. As our plants our picked to order, we are unfortunately only able to deliver to postcodes within Mainland UK. This is to guarantee the freshness and upmost quality of your plants when they arrive with you the very next working day.

Please note, we do have an option to deliver to some remote areas of the UK. This may take up to two working days and will be specified during the checkout process.

I haven’t received my order yet, what should I do?

We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t received your order. You can keep an eye on the progress of your delivery by using the tracking number that was provided by the courier. You will have received this information via email when your order was dispatched.

I have changed my mind and no longer want my order. How do I return/exchange it?

We are sorry to hear you are not happy with your order; however, due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accept the return or exchange of any orders for live plants.
