More commonly known as Oregon Grape, Mahonia is an excellent evergreen hedging plant with scented flowers from January to May, making it a haven for bees and insects. Bearing edible fruit from August to September, about the size of a blackcurrant, which can be eaten raw or cooked to make a delicious porridge. Growing well in almost any environment, the Mahonia is a stunning low hedge choice for low growing and dense requirements.
Mahonia aquifolium shows some resistance to Honey Fungus (Armillaria), as of September/October 2012.
We offer a large range of Mahonia Hedging including Mahonia aquifolium and Mahonia media Charity, at an attractive price.
