Complete Product Information for Yew (Taxus Baccata) 1m Trough Hedging 70cm high x 20cm deep
The Yew (Taxus Baccata) trough hedge is grown in a 1m trough. The hedge is ready clipped at the sides, so all you need to do is plant and cut the top to the height required. These hedges come direct from the nursery on a pallet..
The Yew (Taxus Baccata) is a 1 metre trough hedge; 70cm high 1yr old.
The Yew (Taxus Baccata) is a medium-sized evergreen hedge with narrow, dark-green leaves, sometimes with fleshy red fruits. It is a dense, dark native evergreen with bright red fruits attractive to birds in winter but harmful to humans, pets and livestock.
It is quite slow growing (15/30cm) per year so once it reaches its desired height, its easy to maintain. Yew needs plenty of water in the first couple of seasons (ideally a leaky pipe system) but should not sit in waterlogged soil. Apart from its requirement for water, its very easy to grow, shade tolerant, very hardy, and likes all soils particularly alkaline.
