Our Royal Horticultural Society Wild Rose Red (Rosa rugosa `Rubra`) is an upright, fast growing deciduous rose hedge that flowers for most of the summer, with masses of small bristle thorns and shiny, bright-green, wrinkled foliage. It produces highly scented large yellow-centred, dark-pink flowers June to September, followed by large round, red or orange hips in early autumn.
