Weasel`s-snout has an erect, branched, leafy stem, growing up to 50 cm tall but usually less. The shiny, dark-green leaves are very narrowly oval and up to 5cm long. The stalkless flowers are borne in the axils of the upper leaves. These are deep pink (rarely white), and up to 15 mm across. They have bilateral symmetry and resemble those of the garden snapdragon. The fruit capsule is oval, approximately 1cm in length, opening with three holes at the apex.
Weasel`s-snout does well in sandy loams, occasionally stony clays in south-west England.
We sell Weasels-snout (Misopates orontium) seeds per gram; customers should be aware that when ordering more than one gram of Weasels-snout seeds the entire amount will be bagged together to reduce unnecessary packaging.
