Benefits
• Extended planting season - they can be planted when you want to plant them as long as the roots are kept moist. You are not restricted to the bare root season
• Minimal root disturbance - root systems are supplied intact - with no loss of fine feeding roots and root hairs so once planted they can grow rapidly not suffering the shock that bare root plants will.
• Uniformity - these plants are more uniform.
NB: Our cell grown plants are sold in quantities of 12. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver split bundles. We can offer a substantial volume discount. These plants are between 15-30cm high though the actual height may vary due to the growing season.

Complete Product Information for Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) Pack of 12 Cell Grown 15-30cm
Pinus Sylvestris an evergreen coniferous tree growing up to 25 m in height and 1 m trunk diameter when mature. The shoots are light brown, with a spirally arranged scale-like pattern. On mature trees the leaves (needles) are a glaucous blue-green, often darker green to dark yellow-green in winter.
The plants come with their root systems intact, whereas bare root plants can lose the fine feeding roots and root hairs when they are lifted. This means that cell grown plants can become more quickly established than bare root. Another advantage of cell grown Scots Pine is that it can be planted into warm soils when roots are active, outside the dormant period. As long as the roots are kept moist, cell grown plants can be planted throughout the year.
