Prunus serr Kanzan is a brilliant example of a flowering cherry, it is one of the most popular flowering cherries due to the immense number of flowers that it produces. During spring, the branches are laden with deep pink flowers, creating a lovely feature within a garden. As the flowers fall the tree bears young bronze foliage, which develops into dark green and then a bronze/orange as they start to fall in autumn. Best suited to a position in full sun and in well drained but moist soil.
