A small, spreading tree, the Prunus ser Shirotae (Mount Fuji) is a wonderful flowering Cherry. During the spring it bears fragrant white semi double flower blossoms surrounded by the green foliage. As the summer fades to autumn the leaves change from green to orange red. It has a open branched, spreading habit and can reach a height and spread of 8 meters. With careful pruning after it flowers it is possible to maintain the size of this tree.
