Our RHS Premium Prunus lusitanica myrtifolia is a large evergreen, slow growing bushy shrub or if left will grow into a dense conical shaped tree. The plant will form oval to elliptic glossy green foliage and bares racemes of fragrant flowers borne of red tipped shoots followed by fruits. The small leaved form responds well to pruning and is also excellent for topiary and hedging. A form of Portuguese Laurel that is very easy to grow and maintain. Seed kernels harmful if eaten.
