Prunus incisa Kojo-no-mai is a choice dwarf shrub or if left to grow, a beautiful ornamental tree. In late winter or early spring crimson buds burst open to display pink to white flowers which beautifully cover the contorted branches in spring these are then followed by attractive dark purple fruits that open in Autumn. This tree also provides year long interest as its foliage moves through a yellow green to orange red colour spectrum as the leaves mature. Suitable in sunlight and partial shade areas, can be grown in a pot.
