Complete Product Information for Prunus Avium 150/175cms (FTHD)
Prunus Avium (Wild Cherry) are beautiful deciduous flowering trees. They will require fast draining, well irrigated soil, with full sun. The double white flowers will bloom early in the spring. It is a very hardy tree.

You should plant in moist, well-drained soil in full sun, remember to protection from strong winds. Propagation is from grafting or from seeds.

Seed in autumn the deciduous species, deciduous hybrids by softwood cuttings in summer. Increase evergreens by semi-ripe cuttings in summer.

Bullfinches may eat flower buds and foliage may be attacked by aphids, caterpillars and the fungal disease silver leaf. Flowering cherries are prone to a fungus that causes abnormal crowded shoots (sometimes called witches` brooms).
