The PINUS nigra Austriaca, more commonly known as the Black Austrian Pine is an excellent wind-break and is excellent as a fast growing screening tree, often reaching mature heights of 25m (with up tp 50cm of growth per year). With a conical shape when young, becoming umbrella-shaped, the Black Austrian Pine thrives in any soils including lime.
