Complete Product Information for Pack of 8 Trees Suitable for Acidic Soil (14-16cm Girth Root Ball)
Betula Pendula: A very popular landscape tree which is grown for its weeping habit and graceful form. The foliage can range from a rich green to dark red or reddish-green. The bark on the trunk is white marked with black and it makes a dramatic display against a dark evergreen background. All birches are prone to aphids, bronze birch borers and birch leaf-miners. They are not drought-tolerant and will perform best with a regular watering and feeding, they are noted however for their ability to survive in soils with extreme PH levels. The glossy leaves are about 6cms long with a diamond shaped and a tapered point, that will turn yellow in the autumn.

Populus Tremula: A medium-sized deciduous plant growing to 10–25 m tall, with a trunk up to 1 m diameter. The bark is pale greenish-grey and smooth on young trees with dark grey diamond-shaped lenticels, becoming dark grey and fissured on older trees. The leaves on seedlings and fast-growing stems of root sprouts are very different, heart-shaped to nearly triangular, and often much larger, up to 20 cm long. Adult leaves, produced on branches of mature trees, are nearly round, slightly wider than long, 2–8 cm diameter, with a coarsely toothed margin and a laterally flattened petiole 4–8 cm long.

Quercus cerris: Commonly known as Turkey Oak, this is a vigorous grower, often reaching heights of 40 meters. It is notably different from native English oaks, mainly in the shape of the leaves which are narrow and angular. Originally brought to Britain in the hope that it can be grown for timber, this never came about due to the brittleness of the wood. Its' size and habit make it a wonderful choice for creating a feature in a large garden or as an avenue tree. It does well in all soil types, including those with extreme PH levels.

Sorbus Intermedia: A tough, medium sized round-headed deciduous plant, with masses of rounded densely hairy green leaves above and pale-grey white hairs beneath. Followed by flat bunches of white flowers in early summer. In autumn foliage turns yellowish to grey-brown, alongside orange-red berries. Does well in all soil types(including extreme PH levels), as long as soil is moist and well drained.
