Prunus x subhirtella Autumnalis Rosea also known as Winter Flowering Cherry is excellent in mild winters. It has a lovely spreading habit and yellow autumnal leaves that are green for the remainder of the year. This cheery seems to blossom in waves providing a high level of year round interest particularly in the winter months when the branches are laden with deep purple blossoms. Semi-double pale pink flowers fill the tangled and wiry branches from around November through to March providing it is not too mild.
