The Sorbus Commixta (Rowan tree, Mountain ash) is an upright tree, growing to about 4.5m to 8m or more. It is grown for its pinnate dark green leaves, with a shiny above and grey-green beneath, and they turn brilliant shades of orange and red in the autumn. Clusters of scarlet berries are borne in the early spring and early summer.
