The Sorbus Aria Lutescens (Whitebeam) is a deciduous, spreading tree which is upright when young. The leaves emerge a silvery colour maturing to grey-green as it ages. In late spring and early summer there are clusters of white flowers, followed by orange-red fruit in early autumn. The tree looks at its best in early spring as the creamy white leaves grow from purple shoots bringing yet another subtle colourful element to this simple but outstanding tree.
