The Betula pendula Youngii is a small, weeping deciduous tree with a dome or mushroom shape. It has graceful long drooping branches that often reach the ground. Excellent for specimen planting on a lawn, its mid green, triangular foliage gives lovely light dappled shade. The foliage becomes yellow in autumn, and the smooth white bark will provide year round interest. Very quick growing when young, this tree is suitable for most soils, and does best in full sun or partial shade.
