Our Native Mixed Wildlife Hedging consists of 40% Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), 20% Blackthorn (Prunus Spinosa), 20% Hazel (Corylus avellana) and 20% Field maple (Acer campestre).
All plants are supplied in 3 litre containers with the main benefit being their availability to plant all year round. The recommended planting distance would be 3-5 per metre in a single row and 5-7 per metre in a staggered row.
This hedging mix is made to reflect rural hedging. It is suitable for all soil types and positions, it grows well in town, coastal or exposed gardens.
