Malus Butterball is a small crab apple with a spreading habit. The branches are a little pendulous, especially when weighted with fruits. The flowers are pink in bud and white, pink flushed when in bloom. Come autumn there are masses of rich golden-yellow fruits that may have red flushing on the sunny side. It will reach a height of 4m and spread of 3m in 10 years growth.
