The RHS Lavandula angustifolia Grappenhall (English Lavender) is a fragent hardy shrub that forms large mauve flowers on long green leaves. This perennial can reach 1m high and favours sunny positions in well drained soils. The flowers appear from July onwards and are highly attractive to bees.
