Ilex aquifolium JC van Tol is a small evergreen tree. Leaves are dark green and shiny, without the typical Ilex spines. Red berries are produced in autumn and winter. Suits most soils in sun or partial shade. It will reach a height of 8m and a spread of 4m when mature.
The JC Van Tol Holly is a must for any garden, not only has it been given the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit) it is also a self fertile, therefore it can be planted alone as a specimen and will still produce red berries through the autumn and winter months.
