The Premium RHS Ilex aquifolium Argentea Marginata (Variegated Holly) makes a good hedge or fine specimen plant. Grow in moist, free-draining, humus-rich soil in full sun to partial shade. It will reach a height of 10m and a spread of 8m when mature.
The Argentea Marginata holly is a female variety, in order to produce berries, it is advised that a male plant is in a near vicinity to aid pollination. It is recommended that for every 5 female plants there is 1 male pollinator.
