The RHS Hazel (Corylus avellana) is a species of hazel native to Europe. Common Hazel is a shrub common in many European woodlands. It is an important component of the hedgerows that were the traditional field boundaries in lowland England.
Hazelnuts are rich in protein and unsaturated fat. Moreover, they contain significant amounts of thiamine and vitamin B6, as well as smaller amounts of other B vitamins.
Bare Root hedging and Root balled plants are low cost ways of planting a hedge, but can only be moved when the plant is dormant (November to March). Bare Root hedging is delivered without soil on the roots, whereas Root balled plants come with soil in the root ball. Orders ahead of 1st November will be stored to guarantee an early delivery date.
