The Griselinia Littoralis (Dixon`s Cream) is a vigorous, dense, evergreen shrub, with leathery, broadly ovate apple green leaves on soft green stems. Followed by very small and inconspicuous yellow-green flowers in spring and purple fruits on female plants, provided both sexes are grown together. It does well when trimmed to a semi-formal hedge and quickly establishes a mature look; prune in early summer.
Griselinia Littoralis hedge makes a good windbreak in coastal areas. It is suitable in all soils and positions, in particular light, fertile, well drained soil in full sun and sheltered from cold winds. It will withstand temperatures down to -12oC (10oF), but must have shelter from cold drying winds.
