The bare root Green Beech are between 1.5 and 1.75 metres tall. The recommended planting distance is ideally 5 plants per metre.

The Green Beech (Fagus sylvatica) is a large and fast-growing deciduous native plant with a broad spreading crown; elliptic, yellow-green leaves in spring, turning rich russet-brown in autumn; and small, green flowers, followed by bristly fruits. It is also an excellent plant for hedging. It will reach a height of 15m and a spread of 12m after 20-50 years.
