Our RHS Escallonia rubra macrantha is an evergreen shrub with shiny, dark-green, ovate leaves. From early summer to early autumn, it bears clusters of tubular, deep pink flowers. It is an Ideal hedging plant, good for coastal areas and will thrive in Chalky, Clay, Loamy or Sandy soils.
