Our RHS Premium Escallonia rubra macrantha is an evergreen shrub with shiny, dark-green, ovate leaves. From early summer to early autumn, it bears clusters of tubular, deep pink flowers.It is an Ideal hedging plant, good for coastal areas and suits most soils, even lime. It can reach a height of 4m and a spread of 4m after 10-20 years.
