Elaeagnus x ebbingei, or Oleaster, is a tough evergreen shrub which is excellent at forming a dense screen. The foliage is large and leathery with silvery undersides. Tiny white flowers which have an incredible frangrance are produced in the autumn, and bright orange berries appear in the spring.
