Our RHS premium ELAEAGNUS pungens Maculata is a bushy, evergreen shrub with glossy yellow leaves narrowly edged green. It has spiny branches and bears small, fragrant, silvery-white flowers in autumn followed by brown fruits that turn red. It can reach a height of 5m and a spread of 5m after 10-20 years. It is best planted in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Its suggested uses can be as Hedging/Screening, Beds and borders, Cottage/Informal aswell as for Banks and Slopes.
