Elaeagnus ebbingei is a tough evergreen shrub which has dark green leaves with silvery undersides, and fragrant, creamy-white flowers in autumn. Small orange berries appear in spring. It will reach a height of 4m and a spread of 4m after 10-20 years. Makes a great hedging plant or stand alone shrub. Is best planted in sunny positions, and is excellent for coastal positions as it is very salt-tolerant.
