CYTISUS 'Hollandia' is a variety of Broom - a tall and vigorous species reaching 1.8-2.5m in height. Bright pea-like pink-red flowers appear in late spring and early summer. The black seed pods may be abundant, ripening in mid-summer and scattering their seed with a sharp cracking sound in hot dry weather. In cooler areas of some southern hemisphere countries it has become a troublesome weed.
