Our RHS CUPRESSOCYPARIS leylandii 2001 is a recent select clone of Leyland Cypress and although slightly less vigorous, it is still a fast growing evergreen conifer making a strong dense hedge. The 2001 variety is an extremely popular and useful hedging tree that makes a superb large shapely specimen. It can be kept to desired height with regular trimming, and will grow bushier than the standard Leyland Cypress in any soil in sun or part shade. This highly hardy, wind tolerant conifer will produce rapid and thick growth creating a privacy enforcing hedge, a strong standing tree or a good nesting site for birds.
