Also known as Cowslip, Primrose. This species will produce pale yellow flowers indropping umbels which have a delicate scent. The young leaves can be eaten in salads. Grow in rich soil that is kept moist, either in full sun or partial shade. These plants are a delightful wildflower on roadside verges and farm grassland.
