This RHS Premium Cell Grown Common Oak(Quercus Robur) plant comes with the benefits of container grown plants but the price is nearer the bare root price. Common Oak (Quercus robur) also known as English Oak-- or Pedunculate Oak is a native tree. A close relative is the Sessile Oak (Quercus petraea)-- which shares much of its range. It is distinguished from this species by its leaves having only a very short stalk 38 mm long-- and by its pendunculate acorns. The acorns form a valuable food resource for several small mammals and birds.
