Knapweed is also known as Black Knapweed or Hardheads. A common and familiar plant with thistle like flower heads but spineless leaves and stem. The flower heads, which are in bloom from June to September, are purple or occasionally white and exist in two forms, rayed and un-rayed. Behind the flower is a hard head of overlapping bracts which sits upon the slightly swollen end of the stem.
We sell Common Knapweed (Centaurea nigra) seeds per gram; customers should be aware that when ordering more than one gram of Common Knapweed seeds the entire amount will be bagged together to reduce unnecessary packaging.
