Complete Product Information for Common Bulrush (Typha latifolia) Pack of 12 Cell Grown
Plant in fertile damp soil in sun upto 40 cm under water. The rhizomatous root system may puncture pond liners making it unsuitable for artificially lined ponds, however if you did want to use it in this way restrict it's growth by keeping it in a container. This vigorous plant will eventually fill most of the space available and can therefore be a bit of a thug.

The plants come with their root systems intact, whereas bare root plants can lose the fine feeding roots and root hairs when they are lifted. This means that cell grown plants can become more quickly established than bare root. Another advantage of cell grown Common Bulrush is that it can be planted into warm soils when roots are active, outside the dormant period. As long as the roots are kept moist, cell grown plants can be planted throughout the year.
