Commonly known as the satsuma or tangerine, Citrus nobilis is a large shrub / small tree with bright delicious fruits that can be easily peeled and eaten straight from the tree, or cooked and used to make desserts, jams and jellies.
The oil expressed from the peel of the satsuma orange is also used frequently as an essential oil and often found in soaps, shampoos, creams and other beauty products.
Ideally grown in patio pots, and will thrive in a sunny, warm position with full sunlight, but will require the winter protection of a heated greenhouse or conservatory.
