This species is very tall and attractive narrow tree with pendulous low swooping branches. It will produce 5cm needles that are deep green, the red green cones are about 7-10cm long. This species can be grown as a Christmas tree, a wall tree or as a screen. It will prefer to be grown in full sun with well drained soil.
