The Cedrus atlantica glauca is a tall, weeping native tree to Africa and the Middle East. It has a pyramidical crown made up of relatively few short and ascending branches. The tree produces foliage of a bright rich silvery blue-green finish. From June to September flowers appear and small light brown cylindrical cones also become present. ‘Glauca’ is used for selected seedling plants with bluish foliage and is also a superb subject for specimen and parkland planting.

The Cedrus atlantica Repens is a tall, weeping native tree to Africa and the Middle East. It has a pyramidical crown made up of relatively few short and ascending branches. The tree produces foliage of a bright rich silvery blue-green finish. From June to September flowers appear and small light brown cylindrical cones also become present. ‘Glauca’ is used for selected seedling plants with bluish foliage and is also a superb subject for specimen and parkland planting.

If the conifer produces more than one leader, to maintain the general conical habit remove all but one leader. To restrict the height of the plant, the leader can be cut back.

Seed sown in autumn or spring (but forms selected for leaf colour do not come true). Evergreen current growth cuttings in autumn to spring. Deciduous softwood cuttings in summer.

Honey fungus may be a problem; young plants are more susceptible.
