This RHS Premium Cell Grown Box (Buxus Sempervirens) is a slow growing hardy native evergreen hedging plant with fragrant foliage. Box flowers are yellow appearing in late spring. The very dense growth habit and small-- glossy dark leaves of the box make it ideal for low formal hedging. It is suitable in any soil-- in particular well drained in partial shade. For Hedging-- plant young plants just below the nursery soil mark to encourage growth from the base.

Extended planting season - they can be planted when you want to plant them-- as long as the roots are kept moist. You are not restricted to the bare root season
Minimal root disturbance - root systems are supplied intact-- with no loss of fine feeding roots and root hairs-- so once planted they can grow rapidly-- not suffering the shock that bare root plants will.
Uniformity - these plants are more uniform.
NB: Cell Grown Plants are sold in bundles containing 4 plants. Unfortunately-- we are unable deliver split bundles. We can offer a substantial volume discount. These plants are between 10-20cm high though the actual height may vary due to the growing season.
