Commonly known as Himalayan Birch, jacquemontii is a variable, deciduous tree with peeling, dazzling white bark, ovate to oblong, tapered, glossy dark green leaves which turn yellow in autumn and yellow-brown male catkins in early spring.
The Betula ultilis Jacquemontii is a medium sized tree with ascending branches best known for its distinctive thin, white papery bark that sheds in large sheets routinely each year in winter. The Himalayan Birch fills its upright habit with oval dark green leaves before they turn golden yellow during the autumnal months and display copper brown catkins in spring.
