Complete Product Information for BETULA utilis jacquemontii 10 Litre pot - Premium
Our premium RHS Betula jacquemontii commonly known as Himalayan Birch, jacquemontii is a variable, deciduous tree with peeling, dazzling white bark, ovate to oblong, tapered, glossy dark green leaves which turn yellow in autumn and yellow-brown male catkins in early spring. Ideal for the small garden.
The Betula ultilis Jacquemontii is a medium sized tree with ascending branches best known for its distinctive thin, white papery bark that sheds in large sheets routinely each year in winter. The Himalayan Birch fills its upright habit with oval dark green leaves before they turn golden yellow during the autumnal months and display copper brown catkins in spring.
This beech is easy to grow anywhere and will bed well in a wide range of soils making it ideal for country gardens as well as urban environments. The Betula is often planted close together in groups of three as this gives the appearance of a multi stemmed tree, an effect which works well for this particular specimen which with little maintenance should grow to reach around 15 metres in height.
