The Laxons Superb is classic and popular English style variety of apple that comes from the late Victorian period, it is essentially a cox style apple. It is has firm, rather than crisp flesh, which is sweet and very `appley` and somehow taste better if cut rather than bitten into. It is a late flowering, self fertile tree, so can produce fruit when planted alone but will crop considerably more when planted in larger numbers.
