The Amelanchier Canadensis is a large deciduous shrub which can be trained to grow as a small tree. This species will provide colour and interest for your garden throughout most of the year. The foliage is green in summer, changing to a golden yellow in Autumn. Produces white star shaped flowers in spring, followed by edible red berries which change to black in the autumn. Grow in bog conditions or soil that is constantly moist and organically rich. Does best grown in full sun or partial shade.
