Acer palmatum Ichigyoji is a very similar maple in habit to Acer Osakazuki but with thinner textured green foliage. It is very rare in cultivation and difficult to find.. The autumn colour differs to Osakazuki`s scarlet red, instead being a bright yellow softly suffused with orange. Fairly vigorous grower reaching around 3 or 4 metres if allowed.
