Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides)
The Sea Buckthorn (
Hippophae rhamnoides) is a fast growing, deciduous, native hedge with narrow, silvery foliage and thorns. Flowers are insignificant, but if a male plant is available for polination, masses of persistent orange-yellow berries occur in autumn on female plants, which stay on the bush all winter.
