Lawson`s Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana)
The Lawson`s Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) is a large evergreen coniferous tree, regularly reaching 50-70 m (200 ft) tall, with feathery foliage in flat sprays, usually blue-green in colour. The leaves are scale-like, 3-5 mm long, with narrow white markings on the underside, and produced on somewhat flattened shoots. The Lawsons Cypress is an excellent wind break and it grows well in dry, windy environments.
